Check out this Fact Sheet about many different endangered animals. Search an animal that you are interested in. Write a comment on our Blog about some interesting facts you learned about that animal.

Make sure to include:

  • where they live
  • what they eat
  • what is causing their endangerment

Biography Planning!

WriteDo you ever get “writer’s block”? That is when a writer is just stuck and cannot think of fresh ideas to write. Don’t worry it happens to everyone from time to time.

A lot of times writers have trouble because they may not have organized their writing or planned it out well. It is always a great idea to plan our writing before diving in!

I found a great tool that you can use when planning your biography writing! It is called the Bio Cube and all you need to do is follow the steps and fill in the information to create your bio cube. Once all six sides of the cube display a check mark over the number you are ready to print and build your cube. Then use your cube to write away! If you want to us the planning sheet just click on the words, planning sheet.

Happy writing 4th grade!

Pioneers

A Pioneer is

1. One who ventures into unknown or unclaimed territory to settle.

2. One who opens up new areas of thought, research, or developmentCan you think of any pioneers? Share your ideas here, include the name of the person you think is a pioneer and what they did that makes them a pioneer.example: Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon. He is a very important pioneer because he did something no one else did and that event led to much more exploration in space.Read all the comments that get posted and respond to your classmates accordingly. Ms. Frizzel
